App to Save TikTok Recipes: 6 Compared (2026)
The best app to save TikTok recipes and Instagram reels in 2026. Six apps compared on social import: what each pulls from a post, free limits and price.
By Malcolm Smith. Malcolm Smith is the co-founder of Aldenté. He compares each app’s App Store listing and website, tests Aldenté on his own iPhone, and cites third-party reviews where noted.
How we checked: We looked at what each app says it pulls from a TikTok, Instagram or Pinterest post (caption, link, photo), its free import limit and its price, using each app's App Store listing and website, checked October 15, 2026, on an iPhone. Aldenté was checked in its current iPhone app (version 1.21).
Prices checked October 15, 2026 on each app's App Store page.
The Short Answer
On iPhone, Aldenté is the pick. Tap share on a TikTok, pick Aldenté, and the recipe lands with ingredients and steps split out, free with no cap. On Android or the web, use ReciMe or Flavorish. ReciMe also imports YouTube, which Aldenté doesn't. Most apps, Aldenté included, read the caption and links, not the spoken audio.
Your Camera Roll Is Not a Cookbook
Be honest: how many screenshots of recipes are sitting in your camera roll right now? Fifty? A hundred? That TikTok pasta you saved at midnight, the Instagram reel your friend sent you last Tuesday. They're all buried somewhere between selfies and pictures of your dog. (If that's you, here's how to stop screenshotting recipes for good.)
A whole crop of apps now let you save recipes from TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest into one place. This guide covers one job only: getting a recipe out of a social post and into an app. If you want the bigger picture (meal planning, pantry, organizing a big library), see our best recipe organizer apps guide.

How Social Recipe Import Actually Works
A TikTok or Instagram recipe lives in up to three places: the caption, a link to the creator's blog, and the video itself (spoken out loud or shown on screen). Most apps, Aldenté included, work from the written parts. That means:
- Caption. If the ingredients and steps are typed in the caption, a good importer turns them into a clean recipe.
- Link. If the caption links to the creator's written recipe, the app can follow it.
- Spoken only. If the creator only says the recipe out loud and nothing is written anywhere, there's nothing for Aldenté to read. Screenshot the on-screen steps or type it in.
So the honest test for any app is simple: share the same post into it and see what lands.
What to Look For
- Which sources it accepts. TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, plain websites.
- What it reads from a post. Caption, links, or more.
- Free limits. Some apps cap how many social imports you get before you pay.
- Platforms. iPhone only, or Android and web too.
- Price. Subscription or one-time.
1. Aldenté
Tap share on a TikTok, Instagram reel, Pinterest pin, or recipe website, pick Aldenté, and the recipe lands in your library with ingredients and steps split out. It reads the caption, follows any recipe link in it, and when the caption names the dish but doesn't include the recipe, it searches the web for the creator's written version.
What it pulls from a post: caption text and linked recipes. It does not listen to the audio.
Pros:
- Unlimited saving from TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, and websites on the free plan
- Follows recipe links in captions
- Searches for the creator's written recipe when the caption names the dish
- Also add recipes by voice, text, or a photo
Cons:
- iPhone and iPad only (no Android, no web app)
- No YouTube import
- Doesn't read spoken audio, so talking-only videos won't import
Pricing: Saving is free and unlimited. Premium is $7.99/month or $47.99/year, and it unlocks extra chefs and meal plan generation, not saving.
2. ReciMe
ReciMe is the biggest app in social recipe saving, with about 312,000 App Store ratings. It imports from TikTok, Instagram, and websites, and it runs on iPhone, Android, and the web.
Pros:
- Large, long-running importer
- iPhone, Android, and web
Cons:
- The free plan limits social imports; unlimited imports need Premium
Pricing: Premium is $5.99/month or $49.99/year (its App Store page, checked October 15, 2026). For a head-to-head, see Aldenté vs ReciMe.
3. Pestle
Pestle puts "Save from Instagram & TikTok" right in its App Store subtitle. It also has Cook Mode and Apple Watch support.
Pros:
- Social import is a core feature
- Apple Watch support
Cons:
- iPhone and Apple devices only
- Pestle Pro (subscription or lifetime unlock) for the full app
Pricing: Pestle Pro is $2.99/month or $24.99/year, or a one-time lifetime unlock. See Aldenté vs Pestle.
4. Paprika Recipe Manager
Paprika was built for recipe blogs. Its built-in browser clips recipes from websites with structured recipe data, but it isn't designed to pull recipes out of TikTok or Instagram posts.
Pros:
- Strong at clipping recipe blogs
- One-time purchase, no subscription
Cons:
- Not built for TikTok or Instagram import
- A separate one-time purchase on each platform
Pricing: A one-time purchase per platform. See Aldenté vs Paprika.
5. Mela
Mela is a beautifully designed Apple-only recipe app. It parses recipe websites well, but its App Store listing doesn't mention TikTok or Instagram import.
Pros:
- Good website recipe parsing
- iPhone, iPad, and Mac
Cons:
- Limited social media import
- Apple devices only
Pricing: Free to download; Mela+ is a one-time $6.99 purchase on iPhone and iPad, no subscription. See Aldenté vs Mela.
6. Flavorish
Flavorish focuses on importing recipes from social posts and runs on iPhone and Android.
Pros:
- Social import is its main job
- iPhone and Android
Cons:
- Smaller user base than ReciMe
Pricing: Free with paid upgrades.

So Which One Should You Pick?
If you need Android or the web, ReciMe or Flavorish.
If your recipes mostly come from blogs, not TikTok, this isn't your list. Our recipe organizer guide covers Paprika and the other blog-first apps.
If you're on iPhone and want unlimited free saving from TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest, Aldenté. And once your recipes are saved, it helps you cook them: a grocery list, Cook Mode, and a friends feed of what people you know are making.
Whatever you pick, stop screenshotting. Here's how to actually cook the recipes you save instead of letting them pile up.
